GRACE Center

Holtzman Wildlife Foundation has granted $50,000 to fund education and advocacy efforts to protect the endangered Grauer’s gorillas.

Gorilla Rehabilitation

The Gorilla Rehabilitation and Conservation Education (GRACE) Center is the world’s only sanctuary for Grauer’s gorillas orphaned by poaching. At GRACE, rescued gorillas receive the care they need and learn the skills necessary for reintroduction back into the wild. GRACE also works alongside local communities on conservation education, sustainable livelihoods, and other programs to safeguard wild gorillas and other threatened wildlife in Congo.

Continued Education & Advocacy

Holtzman Wildlife Foundation has awarded a second grant to GRACE to support education and advocacy efforts to protect GRACE’s work with the endangered Grauer’s gorillas. In recent years, the region near the GRACE center has been disrupted by armed militia and a major Ebola outbreak.
