A grant of $25,000 was awarded to the Friends of Belize Bird rescue for a project to help re-populate the Yellow-Headed Amazon (parrot).
The project will collect abandoned eggs or chicks (or those in danger of poaching) from parrot nests and hand-rear them for eventual return to the wild.
