Protecting the Tapirs of Costa Rica

The Holtzman Wildlife Foundation made a grant of $50,000 to Global Wildlife Conservation (GWC) to conduct a project to stop the poaching of tapirs on Costa Rica. GWC may collaborate with its partner Costa Rica Wildlife Foundation to utilize new technology to track the movement of tapirs. The project will also launch a collaborative program with local communities, rangers and leaders to educate residents about the importance of protecting this iconic endangered species.
